The Lycée Français International Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio in Port-Vila is recruiting several locally contracted teachers with the general mission of:
Developing students’ knowledge and skills, as well as their critical thinking. You support them in exploring career opportunities and guide them in their educational choices while providing them with the tools to think, understand the world they live in, and develop their ability to express ideas and create concepts.
You contribute to building students’ educational and academic paths, transmitting knowledge, and facilitating learning. Your role includes teaching time, lesson preparation, grading, communication with parents for student follow-up, participation in school life (such as class councils, teaching councils, and pedagogical councils), and teamwork collaboration.
Secondary School Teaching Position
A full-time Mathematics Teacher (M/F)
Position shared between middle school and high school. VACANT POSITION
Three-year fixed-term employment contract (CDD)
Start date: August 1st, 2025
The Lycée Français International de Port-Vila is seeking a full-time locally hired Mathematics teacher to teach both middle and high school classes.
A thorough knowledge of the official French curriculum and the ability to implement it with the required rigor and high standards, an interest in innovative teaching practices, project-based learning, and interdisciplinary work will be considered strong assets. Initiative, adaptability, teamwork, and strong interpersonal skills are essential qualities for this position.
Teaching hours in NSI (Digital Sciences and Technology) may be assigned.
Fluency in English is an additional asset. Teaching hours in Maths DNL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) may also be required.
A Full-Time Mathematics / Biology (SVT) Teacher (M/F)
Position shared between middle school and high school. VACANT POSITION
Three-year fixed-term employment contract (CDD)
Start date: August 1st, 2025
The Lycée Français International de Port-Vila is seeking a full-time locally hired teacher to provide instruction in both Mathematics and Life and Earth Sciences (SVT) for middle and high school classes.
A thorough knowledge of the official French curriculum and the ability to implement it with the expected rigor and high standards, a passion for innovative teaching practices, project-based learning, and interdisciplinary work will be considered strong assets. Initiative, adaptability, teamwork, and strong interpersonal skills are essential qualities for this position.
Fluency in English is an additional asset. Some Maths DNL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) hours may also be required.
Two Full-Time Physical Education Teachers (M/F)
Both positions are full-time, with hours shared between middle school and high school. VACANT POSITIONS
Three-year fixed-term employment contract (CDD)
Start date: August 1st, 2025
The Lycée Français International de Port-Vila is seeking two full-time locally hired Physical Education teachers to teach students at both the middle and high school levels.
A thorough knowledge of the official French curriculum and the ability to implement it with the expected rigor and high standards, an interest in innovative teaching practices, project-based learning, and interdisciplinary collaboration will be considered strong assets. Initiative, adaptability, teamwork, and excellent interpersonal skills are essential qualities for this position.
