Vanuatu Youth Parliament 2020

On July 29th, 2020, the National Parliament hosted Vanuatu Youth Parliament 2020 as part of Vanuatu 40th Independence Anniversary.

Vanuatu Youth Parliament 2020 will be remembered as a big stepping stone in the political history of Vanuatu. Not only did the House of Parliament host 52 young MPs aged from 18 to 25 years old but those 52 MPs were gender-balanced with 26 male and 26 female representatives.

The young MPs came from the National Youth Council, USP, Vanuatu National University and the French School.

Five students from our school were selected : Julica Sarginson (as the Honourable Speaker of the House), Lenka Saksak, Devlyne Otto, Linda-Gladys Tafau and Richard Rodin.

Congratluations to our Young MPs!

Mrs Veronique Ruel

Project Coordinator
