To the question of why are there Fijians in Vanuatu, the only answer would be of all the goals and desires of becoming a lawyer. Knowing that the university in Vanuatu specializes in Law, many citizens from Fiji travel to Vanuatu in pursuit of their dreams. After the 19th century, with the help of the missionaries, the 20th century had been very hectic with various movements throughout the pacific therefore we can say that a few Fijians made their way to Vanuatu. Nowadays there, a few Fijian families, around 10 to 15 Fijian families are staying in Vanuatu till this day. With the amount of families from Fiji, we can say that most individuals are children attending school, however in relation with their parents and their occupations, the possibilities are endless. Some parents work as lawyers, teachers, consultants, and artists. There are many different contracts or aid that had been given to Vanuatu from Fiji, for example, the materials for the road construction within Vanuatu imported from Fiji, as well as aid that had been given after the naturel disaster in 2015, cyclone Pam. In return Vanuatu has also helped Fiji during their time in need during cyclone Winston in 2016.
