CM1A’s class wins the velvet of words

The class and APC group of the CM1A class won the velvety of words.

In August 2017, we took part in the velvet of words, the poetry contest organized for the 10th Francophone Forum of the Pacific in New Caledonia. The theme was the volcanic beauty of Vanuatu. We have produced and presented 3 poems including a calligram.

On Monday 11 September, the school principal announced that we had won the first special prize in the Vanuatu category. The following Tuesday, the director of the AUF (Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie) came to give us our prize: a cheque for 8000 CFP.

We also received other gifts for the class: a board game and books. We are proud to have won this competition because we did not expect to win at all.
