Today, each home has more than one connected object such as a smartphone, a tablet … These objects are very useful in everyday life, they allow us to search the Internet or to find a place where we want to go with GPS. What would become of without all this technology?
This question, the visually impaired do not ask because they have no connected objects.
They can do voice searches on their phone, on the Internet, but if they do not have an app or if their phone does not allow them to do voice searches, they are dependent on someone to do it at their home. square. A person who does not have a disability, is already ashamed to ask for help, so imagine how a person with a disability feels.
Three people had the incredible idea of inventing a touch pad for the blind.
This is a tablet named BLITAB, the first braille tablet designed for easy navigation. The technology developed is surprising: BLITAB uses liquid bubbles capable of creating relief to instantly produce braille text or images. Blind users can feel them and read the message, but also enter text. When bubbles are no longer needed, they withdraw from the surface and become invisible. Several lines can be generated at the same time which was previously impossible with mechanical devices.
The start-up has, since its creation, won a dozen awards.
This tablet is currently only available for pre-order.
