Nike is a brand that can be described as multi-sports.

It offers a wide variety of products ranging from sports shoes for basketball, tennis and football to children’s sportswear. She even wants to sell electronic devices in the near future. The brand is a reference in sports footwear.

Until then Nike sold its products through its own shops and its own website. Even better, she chose the small distributors who had the honour of distributing her products! Unlike its competitor Adidas, the company had made the choice not to market its products on the site of Amazon, the main reason for this refusal? Fees requested by Amazon too high. The brand was nevertheless present on the site of this distribution giant, with products marketed by third-party sellers.

Today, even though Nike remains comfortably installed in its world-leading chair of sporting goods vendors, it has to face a shortness of sales.

So she decided to sign a partnership with Amazon which is very bad news for small distributors of the brand. The deal between Nike and Amazon is going to happen more and more of the intermediate distributors. Bankruptcies are likely to worsen in this sector. In the United States, for example, five major sports brands have gone bankrupt and the rest are pulling their tongues! Amazon is just killing the sports shoe distributors.
