DE LA LANGUE DE LA FONTAINE VERS CELLE DE L ARCHIPEL DU VANUATU, DES NYMPHES DE VAUX AUX LANGUES DES ILES. (EN
PREMIERE MONDIALE !)
Les élèves alors de chercher les allitérations expressives, les assonances originales, les métaphores poétiques, les périphrases délicates qui fourmillent dans nos fables. Nos traducteurs de chercher les équivalents dans les langues du Vanuatu, ou leur référents culturels.
Le « chêne » deviendra-t-il un « banian » ? « la bise » qui surprend la « cigale » restera-t-elle « bise » ou deviendra-t- elle « cyclone », une réalité bien concrète du pays ? La « laitière » et son pot au lait ne doit-elle pas changer son prénom de « Perrette » et changer… de pot ? Ne faut-il pas aller carrément chercher du vocable dans les langues vernaculaires des îles ou dans les expressions de des grand-parents ni-vanuatais ?
Gaieté, légèreté, oralité, fantaisie… on retrouve bien l’esprit du fabuliste. par CESG
