Our establishment frequently recruits teachers when there are creations of new roles or vacancies. We may also need to recruit English-speaking (or bilingual) teachers for primary, secondary, or (more rarely) administrative staff. Our high school is established by the AEFE which follows the southern calendar (school starts in February). As such, the teachers are either residents or locally recruited, not seconded from overseas. Most of the time, the new contracts that we offer are local contracts.
There are generally two recruitment periods in our school. Positions are filled in August when staff return to the northern hemisphere, and in February in the event of the creation of a new staff position, a retirement or a departure to another school.
